Appliances - Before You Buy

⚡ Consider that certain appliances require a high load 240V supply — which requires a new run to the proposed location. There is normally not enough space in the existing wiring to accommodate these conductors

⚡ When a new run is required and there is no attic or basement access, we will need to cut drywall access points to run our conduit. Plan for the additional drywall and paint expense and schedule the drywall professional accordingly

⚡ Consider that sometimes electrical panels don’t have enough capacity for the appliance’s amperage rating or space for the breaker. This would require either a service upgrade or a panel replacement if needed

⚡ If you're switching from gas to electric, a new run installation is almost always going to be needed
